Today, the Fraught the Fractured the Frayed and fragmented In me Caught fire The fear and furious Sorrow went right up in Flames Dancing together in Essence in wildest Desire, The smoulder burnt Layers and letters off even My name // The heat was Calcifying, almost Crucifying But my elders were no glassblowers // With all hiss and no shatter I watched the wonder of matter as lead turned to red turned to To Gold Calcinatio and onwards For remembering to know That we are part of a tale so, So old // I bore and I held Dousing fire with a splash of a cool liquid breath over embers And in all the ash, Pulsed an instinct so ancient, that we are part of a force so, So sacred

Beautifully written Crissi.
Wishing you cool breezes to quell the heat.
Much love...
Powerful words Crissi. As I embrace the heat from the smouldering embers of my wood fire, on a cold winter's afternoon, I feel the instinctive pull of an ancient and sacred rite of passage. Thank you for re-awakening my awareness. Xxx
